Victoria's Small Business Festival – Energise Enterprise 08

Energise Enterprise is Victoria’s small business festival held annually throughout August.

Coordinated by the Victorian Government, the festival is staged in regional, suburban and metropolitan Victoria and comprises over 360 events aimed at providing inspiration, ideas and information on how to start or grow a business.

Highlight events include:

• Small Business BIG Marketing Event—Designed for SMEs to learn more about all aspects of marketing including direct marketing, e-marketing, promotions and advertising—August 28.

• The LifeStyle Market—Small business operators from the home services industry showcase their products and services—August 10.

• Victorian Business Exchange 08—A unique one day event offering SMEs the opportunity to engage with leading industry players to identify new commercial linkages. A must for growing businesses that want to take that next step—August 28.

• The Panel Series—Panels of speakers providing practical information and ideas on key SME issues and industries including hospitality, finance and manufacturing breakfast—August 11, 14 and 22.

• Small Business Heroes—Energising Youth—free photographic exhibition featuring small business operators under 30 years old—July 28 and August 5.

• VicPitch 08—A new event designed to connect innovative business ventures with development capital—August 7.

• Webinars—Three online seminars with forums discussing the management of cash flow, developing a risk management plan and protection of intellectual property—August 13, 20 and 27.

• Speed Networking Series—business networking on a mass scale—August 16 and 21 August.
