With International Women’s Day around the corner, the University of Sydney’s Women and Work Research Group is holding a conference to discuss the current and future issues facing women in the workforce.
The conference will look at the latest maternity leave figures, the position of women in the labour market and welfare-to-work policies.
Opened by the Federal Minister for the Status of Women, Tanya Plibersek, and closed by the NSW Minister for Women, Verity Firth, the conference will also feature presentations from Professor Marian Baird, Dr Brigid van Wanrooy, Professor Gabrielle Meagher, Dr Natasha Cortis and Anna McPhee, director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency.
