To be held from July 16—24 in Victoria, the State of Design Festival is expected to include awards, exhibitions, lectures, walks, talks, shows and, of course, parties.

“This Festival provides an accessible and relevant opportunity for the many creative individuals and groups throughout Victoria to tell their story, to showcase their talent to the broadest possible audience,” says Ewan McEoin, festival artistic director. “This will allow the design sector to promote and communicate the many ways in which design adds value, provokes delight and creates change.”

The four key elements of the festival are:

Premier’s Design Awards: 16 July–3 August

Design Capital: 16–18 July

Design for Everyone: 16–24 July

Design:Made:Trade: 17–20 July
