International human rights activist Sir Bob Geldof has  called on Australian businesses to embrace workplace diversity, stressing that inclusion and fair treatment are not privileges, but a  collective organisational right.

Sir Bob says the moment for embracing workplace diversity is now, and it is the responsibility of every Australian.

Visiting Australia in November for the eighth annual Diversity@Work Awards, Sir Bob says those Australian businesses embracing workplace diversity should be commended.

“The growing number of Australian organisations entering the awards is a true testament to the success  to be  gained by businesses that foster diversity. Their daily  commitment to supporting  and growing their employees’ skills and experiences ultimately rewards  all Australians by adding value to the business and  cultivating strong  organisational culture,” says Sir Bob.
