Paper-less world

Australians are being challenged to cut down their paper usage by Project Paper-Less. The campaign, supported by Toshiba EID, Redmap, and Iomega, aims collect case studies on reducing paper to boost business.

“A completely paper-free office may never be possible, but Australian companies can save money and the environment by lessening their usage of paper,” says Jon Dee, Planet Ark founder. “Many companies are also finding that they become far more efficient and cost-effective when they store information electronically instead of printing it on paper.

“Australians realise that we have to reduce paper use, but consumers need to be educated about the electronic alternative available to them such as electronic storage, multi-function devices, and document management systems.”

Companies are encouraged to buy Australian-made paper with either an FCS accreditation or recycled content, and to fully recycle all leftover paper.
