New guide for Victoria’s small business festival

The new-look guide to Energise Enterprise 08—Victoria’s Small Business Festival was launched this month by Small Business Victoria.

The Energise Enterprise 08 event guide is available online as well as a 40 page hard-copy booklet. It features more than 360 events, workshops and seminars taking place across the state when Energise Enterprise starts in August.

Energise Enterprise 08 is the Brumby Government’s annual small business festival. It comprises an extensive program of events throughout regional, suburban and metropolitan Victoria aimed at providing inspiration, ideas and information on how to start or grow a business.

Small Business Minister Joe Helper said the Brumby Government was taking action on behalf of small business. “Energise Enterprise presents a perfect opportunity for small business owners from across Victoria to benefit from expert advice in a constructive environment,” said Helper.

 “As a former small business owner, I understand the challenges faced by small business people. That is why I believe the Energise Enterprise festival is so important in promoting and recognising the small business community in Victoria.”

Since the inaugural festival in 2006, Energise Enterprise has rapidly grown to be a major feature on Victoria's business calendar. Last year, more than 26,000 small to medium business operators or start-ups participated in the festival.
