This year’s Media Assisting Youth (MAYDAY) aims to raise more than $1million for three Sydney based charities.
Held at Ivy on May 28, the night will feature an auction of advertising packages donated by Australian media owners across both traditional and emerging media channels.
The three selected MAYDAY 08 proceed recipients are Kidsxpress, Streetworx and MMAD (Musicians Making A Difference).
“MAYDAY provides the media and advertising industry with the opportunity to collectively leverage the value of media assets to make an immediate and significant difference in the lives of many young people in need,” says Kerry McCabe, MAYDAY co-founder.
“One-hundred percent of all proceeds go directly to selected youth charities, which is unique to MAYDAY and a significant point of difference in the not-for-profit world. There are no administration, event or staff costs with all services provided either pro-bono, donated or sponsored.”
