Loss of licence insurance

Australians can now take out insurance against the loss of their licence through minor traffic offences.

Loss of Licence Assistance will cover drivers for up to $1000 per month for a period of three months, to cover the cost of alternative transport during the period of their driver’s licence suspension.

National motorists association spokesperson Michael Lane says, “This insurance is becoming a necessity as a result of low speed limits and automatic enforcement.”
An increase in the number of speed detection devices throughout Australia has made it more likely for the average motorist to accumulate points and lose their licence.

The policy is designed for good drivers who have fallen victim to ongoing revenue raising.

Already popular overseas, this is the first time the loss of licence cover has been made available in Australia.

Cover with Ezy Insure is available from ten dollars per month, and can be paid monthly or annually. Full policy details can be viewed at www.ezyinsure.com.au
