The Australian Institute of Export has launched its Australian Export Heroes Awards, which recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to building Australia’s position and performance in international trade.

Since the awards began in 1997, Export Heroes have included business people from diverse industries – from coal traders to yabby farmers – as well as politicians who have made significant contributions to Australian trade through their actions.

Key attributes of an Export Hero include exceptional leadership, vision, negotiation skills and commitment to export growth.

Nominations close: 27 February 2009
