To coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week (17 to 23 November), the Licensing Executives Society of Australia and New Zealand (LES ANZ) have encouraged graduate student entrepreneurs to enter the LES Foundation Graduate Student Business Plan Competition.
The competition, open to graduate students around the world, invites young entrepreneurs to submit their business plans with a core intellectual property licensing component, for the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Montreal to attend the LES Spring Meeting and network with licensing professionals.
LES ANZ president Simon Roswell, believes the program helps young graduate students to understand real world business processes.
“Entrepreneurs are often let down by their inability to clearly and succinctly pitch their ideas to investors or licensees. This competition puts the finalists in a real world situation, pitching their plans to thought leaders in the commercialisation industry.”
Entries for the competition close on 4 March, 2009. For more information, please visit www.lesfoundation.org.
