Former Liberal MP Paul Zammit has announced his support of Labor’s industrial relations policy. In a letter submitted to the Sydney Morning Herald, Zammit, currently a long-serving company director, says Labor’s policy balances employer and employee interests. "For the past 10 years, I have strived to get the appropriate balance in my own company, so that employees and management share in the benefits of success," he wrote. "Labor's emphasis on employees and employers working together and negotiating together, makes eminent sense at a time when we need to be boosting our productivity and competitiveness."

He went on to note that the individual agreements in WorkChoices gave the advantage of the negotiations to the party with more bargaining power.

Zammit was the former Liberal MP for western Sydney electorate Lowe until 1998
