Confused by technology?

By Dynamic Business Guest Author on Wednesday, 21 November 2007

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. According to a Galaxy survey, more than 60 percent of office workers are confused by their office printer’s functionalities. And while one third of workers know about the available functionalities, they don’t use them.

“It is surprising that such a large number of people are not getting the best out of their office technology.  And the irony is that working hours and pressures could be reduced by utilising some of the intelligent functions now available with multi-functional copiers,” says John Venett, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, national marketing manager.

“Australian workers use their office printer, on average, 21 times per day,” adds Venett. “For such a regularly used piece of equipment, it seems that many users are perhaps intimidated by the applications and functions available to them. Many technology companies and vocational training organisations offer ‘printer’ training to ensure that users get the best out of them. I would advise consumers to take advantage of the educational options available and give a similar level of attention to printer training as you would to learning how to use a computer or its related software applications.”
