Trade expo success!

Last Saturday we attended the Young Achievement Trade Expo at the Southbank markets in Brisbane. A lot of fun was had at the event where we participated in the hands on selling of our Sunday’s Yard tops.

Our stall was very visually appealing and relevant to the business as we used all recycled materials in the stall. We handmade decorations such as flags out of off-cut materials and put crepe paper flowers in the ground and on our signs.

These small details really set us apart from the other businesses as we felt the stall was innovative and creative. All members were active in this event and felt it was a very rewarding experience that allowed us gain some hands-on business experience.

Awards were given out to conclude the event and we were thrilled to win the environmental award and a highly commended award for product knowledge. All team members were happy with the outcome as it was our first year for our school as part of the Young Achievement program.

Next on the agenda is our middle school expo where we are holding a stall and hoping to create some sales with our target market (female 15-25 year olds). There is also a board meeting coming up where all shareholders are welcome to come and join in.
